FPCL Soup and Chili Cook-off!

Two things that First Pres is know for is great fellowship and great food!  Today was no exception as FPCL held it’s annual Soup and Chili Cook-off.  Nearly twenty competitors broke out their secret recipes, chopped and diced their special ingredients, and let their slow-cookers cook simmer all night long.  Volunteer judges sampled each entry and selected their top three entries in both the soup and the chili categories.  No one went home hungry today!

1st Place:  David White’s “White Chili”
2nd Place:  Mary Sealman’s “Chili con Carne”
3rd Place:  Jennie Staritzky’s “Christmas Decorating Chili”
Honorable Mention:  Don Wendell’s “Pheasant Chili”  *late arrival
Judges:  Pete Ashworth, Sean Atchison, and Jeff Colwell
