New Children’s Director: Karley Gosselin

We are excited to announce that Karley Gosselin will be joining us as our Children’s Director! She will be officially starting in August, but she will also be here to meet our families and volunteers during Vacation Bible School (June 5-8). She will be starting at Denver Seminary this Fall, and she joins us as part of their Ministry Residency Program.

A Note from Karley

Hello everyone!

My name is Karley Gosselin and I am SO excited to join you all in the next coming year. I’ve heard wonderful things about your congregation and cannot wait to see the ways the Lord is working in and through your church! A little about myself: I was born in Duluth, Minnesota, but traveled quite a bit when I was younger as my family moved around to where my dad was playing professional hockey. After he retired from the Olympics and the NHL, we moved to a suburb of Milwaukee where my dad ran an ice arena while my mom stayed home with my three sisters and I. Growing up, I played a variety of different sports including hockey, competitive cheerleading, and tennis. I was also involved in several ministries at my church, a couple social justice organizations, and was on the competitive mathematic and debate teams at my high school.

I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison (the Badgers, if you’re into college sports!) for my undergraduate degree and majored in Religious Studies and Education and Educational Studies. Throughout my time in college, I’ve been involved in various capacities all over campus, especially my church. My largest time commitments included volunteering with Young Life in a Madison suburb, leading in my church’s college-aged ministry, and volunteering with middle schoolers at my church, Blackhawk Church. Additionally, I am a member of a sorority and the outdoor adventure club on campus called Hoofers. My passions aside from attending school and being a part of  ministries include kayaking, hiking, camping, basically everything else you can do outside, baking sweet gluten-free treats, crocheting, and reading!

I’ve spent my last three summers in Colorado as a camp counselor who dreamt of becoming a permanent resident of your beautiful state and I can’t wait to spend time exploring Littleton and the rest of the state. While working at First Presbyterian Church of Littleton, I will be pursuing my Master of Divinity degree at Denver Seminary. I am also a member of the Kingdom Scholar cohort which is pretty exciting.

Again, I cannot express my excitement to get to know each and every one of you at some capacity when I get there. See you in June!
