Every year FPCL volunteers provide a full meal on Thanksgiving to those in our community. Ordinarily we offer both a sit-down dinner at our church for about 80 guests, as well as home delivery of nearly 300 meals to those unable to leave their homes. This year, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, FPCL offered delivery meals only. FPCL volunteers delivered 308 meals to 61 locations within a 5-mile radius. Our food prep, meal packaging, vehicle loading and clean up crew consisted of 21 people from 12 households, and we had 14 drivers with 16 helpers from another 12 households delivering meals. A special thanks to chef Daniel Kurtz who continues every year to prepare an amazing meal.
