On June 6th-9th, 2022, eighteen (18) adult volunteers, and thirteen (13) youth volunteers, welcomed thirty-three (33) children, ages 3 ½- 11, to First Presbyterian Church-Littleton’s Vacation Bible School (“VBS”).  FPCL was transformed into a  Jerusalem Marketplace and together we took a stroll back to the first century AD and discovered the customs, traditions,  activities and games during the time of Jesus!

Each day, the children learned about Jesus through a dramatization featuring people present during the time of His triumphant entry into           Jerusalem, the Last   Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. We learned that Jesus is King, Jesus showed God’s Love, Jesus Died for Us and Jesus Lives!  Our volunteers taught the hope that Jesus brings and demonstrated the love He has for each child!  On

Oh what fun it was to see so many children come to learn about Jesus, as well as so many people come together to serve the Lord in this special way and bless the children of FPCL and in our community.  Through our love, seeds were planted, and while we may never know how/when the Lord grows those seeds, we can trust that God will make good out of what was shared.  Thank you so much to all the servant-hearted volunteers who gave of their time, gifts and energy to bless the   children in this special way!  Thank you to all who donated or let us borrow your personal items to help transform FPCL into a Jerusalem Marketplace—what a   blessing it was!  As we continue to create opportunities for God’s children, let’s keep close to our hearts the truths spoken in Proverbs 22:6!
