The Mission
The mission of First Presbyterian Church of Littleton is the same mission Jesus gave his followers: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded of you. (Matthew 28:19-20a)
The Vision
The vision of First Presbyterian Church, Littleton, is to create a community of authentic believers that we may witness a city transformed by the life changing reality of the gospel, as people come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Because at First Presbyterian, we believe all of Littleton is beloved by Jesus and together we belong to God's Kingdom.
statement of purpose
The Mission Committee works under FPCL's Mission Statement "to lead the community to a closer relationship with God through Jesus Christ." We accomplish this by administering aid to those to whom Scripture directs us and whom we feel the Holy Ghost calling us to help: the fatherless, widows, foreigners living among us, the needy who cry out, the weak who suffer violence, the poor and needy and the hungry. When missions are selected they are supported through financial contributions and prayer. Missions are frequently evaluated to determine their effectiveness.
Missions supported are not to be simply humanitarian aid. We strive to select missions that will enable recipients to establish or improve a relationship with Jesus Christ and further the work of Christ's Kingdom here on earth.
