Update 2-26-2025

Feb 26, 2025    Rev. Jonathan Murray

- If you haven't heard, we have a new website and church app. You can find the app at your app store (android or Apple); search for First Presbyterian Church of Littleton and the 'tree' logo should be the first app you can download.

- This Sunday, March 2, is a communion Sunday, and the last week of our current Sermon Series on The Lord's Prayer as we close the prayer Jesus taught his disciples "Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory" --- In fact, go re-read Matthew 6 and/or Luke 11 when Jesus teaches this prayer to his disciples. What is missing?

- Wednesday, March 5, begins the Season of Lent with the imposition of ashes. We will have a drive-thru from Noon to 1p.m. and hold worship at 6p.m.

--- the Season of Lent is the invitation to remove the obstacles from our lives that separate us from one another and especially from God. We are invited to spend more time in prayer, reading God's Word, serving others, and giving of ourselves as Jesus did. During this Season we journey with Christ to Holy Week and the Last Supper, the arrest, trial, crucifixion and burial as we await the resurrection on Easter.

--- The Season of Lent is just more than 10% of the year, and it is an opportunity to give that to God.

- Town Hall Meeting this Sunday (March 2) immediately following worship to learn more about the next steps of our renovation projects.

--- if there is time, we will gather for bible study following the meeting, but if not, we will postpone to March 16, because the Bible Study following worship has been a wonderful gathering and discussion.
