Update 8-19-25

What has been happening and what is upcoming?

1) Last week was Western Welcome Week - our Quilt Show and Used Book Sale was a HUGE success. We welcomed over 300 people; the Quilt Show raised over $700 for Habitat for Humanity, and the Used Book sale raised over $1100 for Whiz Kids! WOW!

2) If the Spirit of God has been tugging on your heart to serve as a tutor, this is right time to listen and follow the nudge to be a tutor!

3) Fill the Truck --- this Saturday (August 23) from 9-Noon, there will be a drive-thru drop off of items to donate to ARC. You can also bring them on Sunday. While this will clear out from your house and eliminate the need for a garage sale, ARC will also make a donation to our renovation projects.

4) Sermon Series

- we have three weeks left in this sermon series: Psalm 118, 1 Thessalonians 5, 1 John 4

- September 14, we will begin a new sermon series "Love in Action" listening to Jesus' command to love our enemies, strangers, and our neighbors. --- Sept 28 we will welcome Gilbert from "Love with Actions" and a special sermon is being planned with Gilbert. Stay tuned!

- October 5 will begin a sermon series entitled "What Disciples Do" --- this is to be encouragement for what you are already doing and an invitation to praise God in other ways

5) FPCL has a church app?

Yes we do! This gives quick access to past sermons as well as learn the most up-to-date information. Download it wherever you get your apps ;o)
