Meet our Pastor: Reverend Cody Sandahl
Where Do I Park?
Our church is located at 1609 W Littleton Blvd, Littleton, CO 80120 (link to map).
Our main parking lot fills quickly, and we try to reserve those spaces for guests and people who have mobility concerns. Luckily there are many parking lots right next to our church.
If you are coming for an event or memorial service during normal business hours, the Arapahoe County and Express Employment lots are not available. During the day, we have plenty of on-street parking within easy walking distance.
What Should I Expect?
Each service follows the same general order of events: a welcome by the pastor; a Call to Worship and a few prayers; two readings from the Bible and a message; a few announcements followed by the offering; and a closing prayer and benediction. We usually have about three hymns sung by the congregation during the service. Our choir generally sings at the 10:30 service. Each service lasts about an hour. If you want to know what’s coming this week, our weekly bulletin is posted on our website each Friday.
What About My Kids?
Children of all ages are welcome in our worship services. Children’s Worship Bags are available at both Sanctuary doors.
For kids under 4, we offer childcare from 8:15-11:45am in the Childcare/Nursery room on the parking lot level. In keeping with our Safe Sanctuary Policy, parents must sign their children in and out. Diaper changing stations are available in the men’s and women’s bathrooms on the main Sanctuary floor. An additional changing station is located in the library on the 4th floor adjacent to the Youth Room.
For Pre-K thru 6th grade, we have Sunday School at the 10:30am worship service. We love worshiping with the children of our church, so we have kids in the service with their parents for the first fifteen minutes. Following the Word with the Children they are welcome to follow their Sunday School Shepherds down to the Sunday School rooms on the parking lot level. (learn more)
For 6th thru 12th grade, the youth generally gather before the 10:30am service and sit together in the balcony. Youth group is on Sunday afternoon from 12-1pm (middle school), and 1-2:30 (high school) *Option for High School Youth to have lunch together from 12pm-1pm). All are welcome – you don’t have to be a member at FPCL to join our youth group! (learn more)
New Place to Worship: Video in Youth Room, Starting Sunday, September 24, we will have a live audio and video feed into the TV in the Youth Room on the 4th floor. This space is available to anyone who needs it, but we envisioned it especially for families with children who want to remain with their parents but might need a little room to move around and make some noise. As we work out the kinks in the system, let Pastor Cody know if you have any issues or think of something that could be better. email@example.com
What Should I Wear?
Whatever makes you feel comfortable. At FPCL we are about coming together and worshiping as a church community – not about what you are wearing that day. You will see some people in coats and ties, Sunday dresses, even fancy hats! But you will also see people in jeans and a Broncos jersey (please no Raiders jerseys!), khaki shorts and a polo shirt, and footwear ranging from sandals to wingtips. We want you to feel at home in our church home; so please feel free to come as you are!
