FPCL Celebrates with a July 4th Themed Community Dinner

FPCL welcomed 55 guests to it’s most recent Community Dinner held on Tuesday, June 27th.  Ficklin Hall was decorated in a 4th of July theme to celebrate the upcoming Independence Day holiday.

We served a great meal to 55 guests including 11 children.  We had many return guests who are now bringing friends and new guests who have recently learned of the meals.  This month dinner served the largest number  of guests  that we have had since we started these dinners.  We hope that the word has gotten out that all are welcome and that we’ll continue to host as many guests as we can accommodate.

This month’s menu consisted of BBQ chicken, baked beans, pasta salad, fruit salad with strawberries, blueberries and bananas, fresh fruit bowl and handheld desserts including lemon bars, rice krispy treats, brownies and chocolate chip cookies.  Our meal received rave reviews including:  ” best food we have ever eaten”  and ” really  like how the menu changes every month”

Our next Community Dinner will be on July 25th and the menu will consist of:  Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Corn on the Cob, Coleslaw, Melon Slices, Fresh Fruit Bowl and hand held desserts such as cookies, bars, brownies, and  rice krispy treats.  Read more about our monthly Community Dinners – HERE
