The menu for the August community dinner consisted of seasoned baked chicken, creamy potato salad, tomato herb salad( with fresh herbs from Ruth’s own garden), cantaloupe slices, fresh fruit and desserts and was enjoyed by over 100 people. Many of these guests have come to the dinners other months and we even have a few that have been coming since the very first time we had one in June 2016. Once again, we had new families that brought their small children who were excited to see that we had a table set up with crayons, coloring pages and stickers. We make sure to have a table set each month with these items for the children who come to help entertain them while their parents visit with others at their tables.
We have now added 2 more tables to the room and are so grateful to have so many volunteers help us each month to make sure that this is an enjoyable dinner for all who attend. We hear many compliments about the food and how kind and welcoming everyone is that helps out.
The next dinner will be held on Tuesday September 25th and will consist of Lasagna, a green salad and cinnamon apples along with fresh fruit and desserts.
