FPCL’s Men’s Work Camp, J.W. Graham’s Free Nailers, annual trip to Alamosa in the San Luis Valley

Eight men from three Presbyterian Churches traveled last week to the most disadvantaged county in Colorado.  We worked for 4 days for La Puente, a non-profit serving these communities.

  •   Began each day with devotions
  •   Removed, re-framed and installed four new windows for Volunteer House
  •   Replaced exterior siding
  •   Installed two storm doors
  •   Built and installed custom cabinet with adjustable shelving for Food Bank
  •   Doug Hodous did a two hour Science Show for the children’s group PALS.  (Now, this you have got to see.)
  •   Doug Friesen and Bob Stickman lead another children’s group of PALS in the construction and painting of wooden toys.  The kids loved building them.
  •   Built and installed custom cabinet with adjustable shelving for Office bathroom
  •   Built display shelving for Thrift Store
  •   Repaired loose power conduit in Food Bank
  •   Repaired warped and damaged window moulding at Food Bank
  •   Built and painted a work bench for the Community Garden which supplies Soup Kitchen
  •   Painted interior and exterior trim of Volunteer House
  •   Installed wall mounted Baby Changing Table
  •   Two band-aids were issued……one was returned
