FPCL Commissions Girl’s Troop 444

First Presbyterian Church of Littleton, who has sponsored Troop 444 for the past ninety years, will begin its sponsorship of a Girl Troop, also numbered 444, effective February 01, 2019.  Using the linked committee model, both of the 444 Troops will provide boys and girls the rich history and traditions that make Troop 444 unique.

Both Troops will meet on Thursdays, 7 pm, at First Presbyterian Church of Littleton, making it easier for families with multiple youth in Scouting.  The Boy and Girl Troops will participate in opening and closing ceremonies together; however, patrol activities will be separate.

Following in the existing Boy Troop footsteps, Lady Mountaineers will be youth-lead and utilize the patrol method of youth leading youth through a rich outdoor-oriented program.  Regarding scheduling of Troop activities, currently merit badges, monthly camp outs, and summer camp will be shared activities for both Troops.  However, Lady Mountaineers will have the ability to schedule separate outings to facilitate team building, if they choose.
